Lisbio Maria Jacinto Couto, Jr., is wanted for his alleged involvement in at least three of a series of crimes committed in California and Nevada, many of which are thought to have been committed as part of a sophisticated Asian Criminal Enterprise Organization. Specifically, Couto is alleged to have participated in an armed robbery in Hayward, California, on April 11, 1997; an armed robbery and murder on May 3, 1997, in San Jose, California; and a computer component hijacking on October 9, 1997, in San Jose, California. Couto was charged with participating in these crimes in a federal RICO indictment issued in the Northern District of California, San Jose, California, on July 20, 2004.

Additionally, on April 17, 1998, one victim was murdered while seated in a parked car outside a house party in Fountain Valley, California. Couto was charged with state felony murder in the city of Fountain Valley, California, as a result of this crime. On October 6, 1998, a federal complaint was filed and an arrest warrant was issued in the Central District of California, Santa Ana, California, charging Couto with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

$20,000 BANK ROBBER REWARD

The FBI and Gurnee Illinois Police announced a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to identification and arrest of the man who shot at police and robbed the Community Trust Credit Union.

The FBI is offering the reward “primarily because of the violent nature of the crime,” said Ross Rice, spokesman from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

“We’re hoping (the reward) attracts media and the public’s attention,” Rice said.

Witnesses described the bandit as an black man, 6 feet to 6-feet, 2-inches tall. The suspect, who acted alone in the Jan. 28, 2010 robbery, was a wearing all black clothing and a mask.

Authorities said the man forced entry at 7 p.m. when the credit union on Route 41 in Gurnee was closing. He used plastic zip ties to bind the hands of employees.

After he was unable to open the credit union vault, he fled and spotted an officer who was responding to the robbery, according to authorities. He shot at the officer before running behind a nearby building and possibly to a waiting vehicle. The officer was not injured, the news release stated.

Dr. Cherryl Lamont Pearson was a pediatrician from Bartlett, TN. She was last seen at around 1:00 a.m. on January 5, 2002. Phone records show that she received a call placed from a nearby convenience store payphone at around 2:00 the same morning. Her car was found in a nearby apartment complex a couple of days later but Dr. Pearson was never seen or heard from again.

$100,000 reward offered in case of missing Montana Tech student Joshua Haight, 21 who was last seen when he was dropped him off in downtown Lewistown on July 13, 2005.

A Philadelphia businessman known for his financial assistance in high-profile criminal investigations is providing $100,000 for information about the disappearance of a college student here.

Joe Mammana offered the money as police continue investigating the disappearance of Joshua Haight, 21. Haight was last seen when a person dropped him off in downtown Lewistown on July 13, said Capt. Dave Sanders of the Lewistown Police Department.

Mammana, who has provided reward money in the Natalee Holloway investigation in Aruba, told the Lewistown News-Argus a local clergyman requested his help.

JOSHUA HAIGHT was last seen at 1:00 p.m. on July 13, 2005. He was dropped off by a friend at the intersection of First Avenue and Main Street in Lewistown, Montana, and has not been seen or heard from since. The last time he was seen, Joshua was wearing black shorts and a white t-shirt. Joshua has a scar on his left leg, and an artificial left eye. Joshua’s nickname is Josh.

Joe Mammana has done some real good in helping offer reward money to hopefully get some type, any response to the where abouts of missing people.

“I believe in putting large rewards out to gain information,” said Mammana, an egg tycoon. “I feel it will turn a mother against a son, friend against friend and brother against brother.”

Foul play has not been ruled out in the Haight case and “we have a person of interest,” Sanders said Wednesday. He said it would have been uncharacteristic for Haight to simply leave here without telling others of his plans. Haight, a Montana Tech engineering student, left his wallet and other belongings at home.

Circumstances: Alford’s biological mother, Jennifer Rodriguez, was jailed by a Staten Island family court judge who believes she is hiding the child from police. She is being held in contempt of court.

Her son was placed with a foster family last month after the 23-year-old mother was arrested on theft charges.

Police say he had threatened to run away from the foster home because he wanted to be with Rodriguez. According to the New York paper, police believe the boy may have left on his own freewill and could be in danger.

Reward: The reward for help in finding Patrick has been increased to $12,000.

Police are now offering $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person who may be responsible for his disappearance.

The NYPD’s reward offer is tacked on to $2,000 already put up by Crime Stoppers seeking information that may lead to the youngster’s whereabouts.

$5,000 MISSING CHILD REWARD

The details surrounding the disappearance of four-year old Daniel Barter (see age enhanced image) 50 years ago have been washed away by time. In the summer of 1959, Barter and his family were enjoying a camping and fishing trip near Perdido Bay, AL when the little boy went for a walk in the woods…and vanished.

Five decades later, the cold case is heating up. Tuesday night, the hit CBS series “Without a Trace” featured the Barter case which could jump-start a new investigation.

“I don’t know why they haven’t found any remains,” says Foley insurance agent Charlie Hebert. Hebert was Baldwin County’s Civil Defense Director in 1959 and remembers organizing a search for the little boy. “The military went in the woods hand-in-hand through the woods. It was very dense undergrowth.”

Hebert hopes investigators will find answers.

“No, I don’t think he’s alive. I think he was either picked up by people that came through there or was eaten by alligators,” says Hebert.

But Hebert says finding closure could be difficult.

The Baldwin County AL Sheriff’s Office and the FBI are investigating. Detectives are offering a five-thousand dollar reward in the Barter case.

$25,000 UNSOLVED MURDERS REWARD

On Monday, February 2, 2009, at approximately 11 a.m., deputies in the city of Stanton were dispatched to 12331 Beach Boulevard. This is the location of a business known as Golden Sun Homes. The owner called 911 to report that upon arrival at the business he discovered two people inside and they were not breathing. The owner would later identify these two subjects as his son, 42-year-old Matthew Francis Scott and his long time secretary, 50-year-old Elizabeth Ann Palmer. After securing the scene deputies would find out that Elizabeth’s white, 2004 Lexus GS300 (CA-5FYP194) was missing from its normal parking space. Homicide Investigators arrived on the scene and began an intensive investigation. Several interviews were conducted with known associates, family members and adjacent business owners. None of the interviews revealed any type of motive or potential suspect. Several steps have been taken to locate Elizabeth’s missing vehicle including using regional and international resources across the border into Mexico, however, the vehicle has yet to be located. All aspects of this case have been thoroughly investigated including all business and personal activities associated with both victims, their families, the business owners and their associates but nothing has given investigators any motive for their murders. Orange County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators believe there is someone out there that may have assisted the perpetrator in some way or there are people in the area of the business that have knowledge of the murders that may be willing to come forward with some incentive. Elizabeth’s husband, Richard Palmer also believes there is someone out there with information that will help solve this case and is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this callous crime. NYPD Police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who shot and killed a Bronx woman in front of her children last December.

Lakisha Scriven, 30, was putting her 8-year-old and 5-year-old daughters into an SUV on Furman Avenue in Wakefield last Monday when a man walked up and shot her in the head.

Scriven worked as a supervisor with the city Administration for Children’s Services.

Sources tell NY1 detectives have questioned and released the father of the two children.

Police are offering a $12,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.
